RiverSpring Living and the Hebrew Home at Riverdale have exceeded the expectations of aging New Yorkers for more than a hundred years.

The River’s Edge community takes that legacy to the next level for a new generation.

RiverSpring Living is an innovative nonprofit organization that raises the modern expectations of older New Yorkers with offerings that include residential living options, Medicare Advantage Insurance, home care and care management, assisted living, memory care, skilled rehabilitation, and long-term skilled nursing at the world-renowned Hebrew Home at Riverdale. The addition of the River’s Edge Life Plan Community adds luxury living for a complete, comprehensive offering.

The RiverSpring Living campus at Riverdale feels like an upscale resort in a park-like setting with expansive green spaces accented with artistic outdoor sculptures, towering trees, and majestic views. It offers a wide variety of residential options, amenities, and health services in one convenient location.

Today’s RiverSpring Living owes it all to our more than 100 years of service as the Hebrew Home at Riverdale.

That enduring legacy has helped us grow into a nationally recognized non-profit organization that serves more than 18,000 New Yorkers daily within all five boroughs.

The City at night

The River’s Edge Life Plan Community is sponsored by the Hebrew Home Foundation. The nonprofit status means that funds are retained by the organization, not paid to shareholders, owners, or investors. Together, RiverSpring Living and River’s Edge ensure long-term stability for the future and continuous investment into quality living and care services for residents.

When you choose a Life Plan Community such as River’s Edge, you put a plan in place for a worry-free future. You get the lifestyle you want and the luxuries you deserve, all with long-term peace of mind for the decades ahead. In addition, if your health should change after joining the community, you have seamless access to the full continuum of convenient health services next door at RiverSpring Living and through our partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Center. Everything is here on one campus: independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing. And one extraordinary lifestyle.

The good news is that you can continue to live in the community you love, with friends and staff you know, without moving to another community, even if your level of care changes. Couples can stay connected on the same campus—even if one person requires assisted living, skilled nursing, or memory care. Also, in-home or care management services are available in your independent living apartment through RiverSpring Living.

Because River’s Edge is part of a nonprofit organization, once you move in, you can apply for housing support from our benevolence fund if your financial situation changes due to no fault of your own.
